First post + Green Splatter Nails

My first post ever. Not that I expect anyone to read this, but if someone, somewhere ever finds this blog : Welcome! Hope you... enjoy. I don't even know exactly what I'm going to do here, what exactly I'll post or write or show you. But let's start with something simple... Some pictures! (you probably already saw that anyway...)

A nail splash technique that I found on the PolishAholic blog (one of my favorites so far). In brief, you have to put nail polish on the tip of a straw and blow through it so that it will splash on your nails (make sure to put scotch tape on your fingers : it's pretty messy! and make sure to go and check out the real tutorial on the polishaholic blog, it's much better). I had some problems, at first, to blow the nail polish out of the straw, but it's because I wasn't picking up enough of it. So, I just went for it and directly put the straw in the bottle. I would be glad to be able to not waste so much polish by doing it the way I did it, but until I'm able to work with only 5 or 6 drops of polish, I guess that'll do for now.

Now, I have to tell : my mother language is French (Canadian french) so I might do some english mistakes, but I'm not here to check my english grammar! I'm here to share my "hobby" the best way I can. And I seriously don't know why I started writing this blog in english... maybe someday I'll switch.

Probably that my other posts won't be that crowded with text... We'll see.

Now, for the interresting part (I guess) : the nail polishes I used:

- Maybelline Express Finish in Go-Getter Green # 658 - Base color, two coats.
Not the best nail polish, but it's good. Almost totally opaque with one coat. Great colors. Becomes a little ticker in the end.
- Maybelline Express Finish in Outloud Lime # 652 - Splatter color
Same as above.
- Mood Struck in Teal to Turquoise - Splatter color
This polish is a heat activated color changing nail polish... The thing is that I never saw any change of color coming from those polishes. Becomes quickly ticker, do your stuff fast. At least the color is cute...
- Revlon Scented in Pineapple Fizz - Splatter color
This one is kinda fun. It smells like yummy pineapple candy, but the smell is not sickening nor overwelming. I made my nails wednesday (if I remember well) and the smell has already worn off. One thing that I don't like about these particular polishes is that they're way to liquid. Other than that : great colors, great smells, beautiful flaky-like glitters. I love it!
- Seche Vite fast drying top coat, one coat.
With the flash
Without the flash
So yeah... I think I'm gonna finish it here, before I continue blabla-ing for 2 hours and get the readers I don't even have to be bored already.

That's all folks!
I might be back soon

A.
